Emma writes about knitting trends, color and yarn. What is coming, what is worth buying, and what to make with it.
She is the person behind our content, and she has a trained eye for trends, color and yarn. Emma joined the Dreamknit team in 2026 with a master's in media and communication, and she has knitted since eighth grade – mostly sweaters, and rarely much else.
Her job is to see things early. She follows fashion, runways and feeds, and works out what it means for knitwear long before it reaches the yarn shop, so by the time a color is everywhere, she has usually flagged it already.
She has reviewed more than 100 yarns for Dreamknit, and the reading behind each one is the actual work.
What Emma keeps an eye on
Trends, early
By the time a silhouette reaches the yarn shop, Emma has been watching it for a while. That head start is what tells us what to make next.
Color, called ahead
Which shades keep turning up, which ones are on the way out, and what that means for the sweater you are about to cast on.
Yarn worth the money
More than 100 yarns reviewed so far. Two mohairs can behave nothing alike, so she digs into blend, halo, meterage and price. She knits sweaters, so she is reading the label for the same reasons you are.
What knitters are asking for
Comments and messages are not an afterthought. She reads what you tell us, and it shapes what we make next.

What to knit next
Color, yarn, shape. That is the question Emma spends her week on, and what she writes about here.
