Newbie Sweater is worked top down. Each step is explained in detail with pictures. First, the back piece is worked (top of the back piece), whereafter stitches are picked up for both shoulders and the neckline is shaped with increases. Both shoulders are joined centre front to shape the front neckline. The front piece is worked flat, before the front and back piece are closed to the round under the armhole openings. The body is then worked in rounds. Finally, you pick up stitches for the sleeves around the armhole openings and work them top down in rounds.
